Summary
· We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer. This role is a leader in data services for the Analytics Center of Excellence. It will work closely closely with all within the Enterprise Analytics Platform to ensure the platform is developed, delivered, maintained, and supported to the highest standards and proficiency.
· Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
· Design and implement data ingestion and operationalization processes. Manage user access and maintain security compliance to meet Perdue policy.
· Design new capabilities and provide user support.
· Develop Frameworks to Monitor and maintain tools, pipelines, and compliance to ensure they meet SLA.
· Capable of integrating new tools, managing projects, and ensuring security across platforms.
· Drive modern methods of data ingestion and design standards for all pipeline creation.
· Oversee backup & recovery, performance monitoring, upgrade management, and cost management.
· Minimum Education and Experience Required
· Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
· 7+ years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
· Critically identifies an issue's scope and parameters while analyzing it from multiple perspectives.
· Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate effectively.
· Ability to apply change management processes and tools to help self and others manage changes.
