Job Description :

The Senior Infrastructure Project Manager will lead complex, multi-departmental projects for a prominent Randstad client in Washington, DC. This role requires extensive experience in managing the full lifecycle of infrastructure programs and projects, from initiation to implementation, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget. The Project Manager will leverage best practices, methodologies, and project management tools to maintain rigorous control over project schedules, risks, issues, budgets, and quality. Collaboration with internal teams and external vendors is crucial, requiring strong communication and analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct and manage project teams, including technical leads, consultants, and contractors.
  • Develop and maintain essential project documents such as Project Charters, Management Plans, Requirements, Design Documents, Test Plans, and Implementation Plans.
  • Produce weekly program status reports and facilitate project status meetings.
  • Manage project schedules using MS Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and MS Project Professional.
  • Track and report on project budget and schedule variances.
  • Create and maintain SharePoint project sites within the EPM system.
  • Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure project schedules, baselines, and estimates are well-maintained.
  • Report on project risks, develop risk management plans, and track mitigation efforts.
  • Manage ongoing project issues and changes using established processes and templates.
  • Ensure timely completion of all activities required for operational readiness.
  • Develop Statements of Work (SOW) for Request for Proposals (RFP) and ongoing support services.
  • Evaluate product and proposal criteria for analysis.

Deliverables:

  • Deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Present projects at Quality Checkpoints and Department-Level Project Reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of seven years of hands-on experience in Program and Project Management, particularly in technology management.
  • Proven ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and protect departmental interests.
  • Strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with MS Project Office Professional and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like MS Project Server (EPM).

Preferred:

  • At least four years of experience with project management tools such as Microsoft Project Server.
  • PMP Certification.
