Job Title : Senior Java Developer
Location: Chicago, IL (On-site)
Experience Level: 15+ years
Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a Core Java Developer with over 15 years of experience to join our team. The primary responsibilities include Java development, design, and unit testing, with an opportunity for on-the-job learning of mainframe systems. The ideal candidate should possess expert knowledge in Java/UI technologies such as JAVA, J2EE, EJB, JavaBeans, JavaScript, servlets, JDBC, struts, JSR-352, Hibernate, and MQ. Additionally, the role entails on-the-job training in Cobol/JCL.
Skills Required: Core Java, JavaScript, Microservices, PL/SQL, REST Web Services. Proficiency in Java, EJB, JavaScript, Struts, and Hibernate is essential.
Onboarding will include on-the-job mainframe training.
Mainframe experience is considered a plus.
Preferred: Knowledge in the BFS domain and Application Modernization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive understanding of Java technologies for development and implementation.
- Ability to grasp requirements effectively and develop suitable design and prototypes.
- Willingness to work weekends during implementation phases.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in a customer service environment.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot customer issues efficiently.
- Attention to detail and sense of responsibility.
- Effective task prioritization and time management skills.
- Understanding of customer support best practices and metrics.
- Clear and effective communication of technical concepts in English.
