Job Title: Senior Maximo Business Analyst III

Type of hire: Long Term

Location: Houston, TX(Remote)

Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Maximo Business Analyst with expertise in IBM Maximo Asset Management and MAS (Maximo Application Suite) migration projects. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical liaison between IT and business stakeholders to drive the successful planning, execution, and support of Maximo enhancements and MAS migration initiatives. This role requires a deep understanding of asset management business processes and the ability to translate those into system configurations and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage business analysis efforts for Maximo to MAS migration projects.
  • Gather, document, and analyze business requirements related to asset and work management, inventory, procurement, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical developers, solution architects, and system integrators.
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend system solutions to meet business needs within the MAS suite.
  • Develop use cases, user stories, process flow diagrams, and functional specifications.
  • Support data mapping, cleansing, validation, and migration activities.
  • Participate in system testing, UAT, and user training coordination.
  • Act as a liaison between end-users and the technical team to ensure accurate delivery of functional requirements.
  • Facilitate workshops and meetings with business units to validate requirements and proposed solutions.
  • Provide post-implementation support and continuous improvement recommendations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 12+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with focus on IBM Maximo.
  • Hands-on experience with Maximo Application Suite (MAS) implementations or upgrades.
  • Strong understanding of asset management, work management, inventory, and procurement modules.
  • Proven experience gathering and documenting business and system requirements.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Familiarity with data migration strategies and integration concepts.
  • Experience with Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • IBM Maximo certification(s).
  • Experience in utility, energy, oil & gas, or manufacturing industries.
  • Exposure to Maximo Mobile, Spatial, and other advanced modules.
