Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior MDM Business Analyst to lead and manage Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives. This role involves collaborating with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data workflows, and ensure high data quality across enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of MDM concepts, data governance, and business processes to drive data consistency and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead MDM initiatives, focusing on data quality, governance, and integration strategies.
  • Work with business stakeholders to gather and define MDM requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
  • Analyze and optimize existing data models, ensuring consistency across Customer, Product, Vendor, and other master data domains.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, data architects, and development teams to implement MDM solutions.
  • Define and enforce data governance policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Identify data quality issues and drive data cleansing, enrichment, and validation efforts.
  • Support integration of MDM systems with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise platforms.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation, including business process flows, data dictionaries, and data lineage maps.
  • Conduct data profiling, analysis, and mapping exercises to ensure data accuracy.
  • Participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and validate MDM implementations against business requirements.
  • Provide training and support to business users on MDM processes and tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on MDM projects.
  • Strong understanding of MDM principles, data governance frameworks, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, IBM InfoSphere MDM, SAP MDG, Oracle MDM).
  • Solid knowledge of data modeling, data integration (ETL), and data quality tools.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis techniques.
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with data governance tools like Collibra or Informatica Axon.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
