Sr. BI Developer

Remote

Position Overview:

  • Sr. BI Engineer to join Circle K's BI Team responsible for all cube and report development used across the company by thousand's of users.
  • This is a beginning as a 6+ month contract working 100% remote. Candidates located in EST time zone are preferred and will be prioritized over others.
  • Candidates should have 5-7+ years of experience designing and developing BI solutions using Microsoft BI stack.
  • Candidates should be proficient in SSAS/AAS tabular cube development and modeling.
  • Candidates should be proficient in DAX querying, Power Query, SQL, and Power BI to create and design intuitive and interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI to enable data driven decisions.
  • Candidates should also have experience on the infrastructure side of Power BI to monitor and tune Power BI services (i.e. troubleshoot, debug, and tune BI solutions - reports, cubes and semantic models) to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience designing and developing business intelligence solutions using Microsoft BI stack.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL, SSAS/AAS tabular modeling, DAX, Power BI, Paginated Reports, Power BI Gateway, Service, and Security.
  • Experience working with Azure-based BI solutions, including Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Blob Storages & Data Lakes.
  • Experience with Power BI Services, Admin Portal, and capacity governance.
  • Strong understanding of multidimensional and tabular data modeling concepts using SSAS.
  • Experience developing interactive reports and dashboards using Power BI.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The following skills are preferred:

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: Power BI, etc.).
  • Experience working with PowerShell.
  • Experience using Git for version control and deployment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Fabric.
  • Experience coding in Python.
  • Experience working with Databricks and Snowflake.
