Job Description:

  • Client has a vacancy for a Senior Web Developer to work on CityTime UI Technology Upgrade project.
  • Primary Responsibilities include activities related to technical design, coding and unit testing of enhancements and defect corrections for the City of New York Time keeping system CityTime.
  • Work will require strong client-side programming skills in the area of building out applications front-end UI.

Required Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of J2EE, JavaScript, Java, Apache Struts
  • Good Knowledge in using SQL in Oracle.
  • Have strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience working with UI development framework JavaScript, Java, Ext JS, JSON,XML/XSL/XSLT, AJAX, HTML, Apache Struts, CSS, jQuery.
  • 10+ years of experience with Junit, Jsunit or Selenium testing framework.
  • Strong knowledge of Java Skills.
  • Design/Architect web based applications
  • Propose/Provide solutions to complex requirements
  • Strong knowledge of J2EE and EJBs.
  • Resolve complex performance issues for web based applications using state of the art technologies (AJAX, Responsive Design, etc)
  • 7+ or more years working with at least one of the following application servers: JBoss, Tomcat, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or in a Technical/Business Discipline is required.
