Our state client is seeking a Sr. Platform Administrator to fulfill a long-term contract.
This is a remote position. However, the candidate must go on-site on day one for equipment and badging.
The candidate will be a member of a dynamic team responsible for the maintenance & support of application solutions built in .NET for the client's Application portfolio. This candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining the server infrastructure that supports the client's Applications.
Our client is looking for a senior-level resource with strong overall knowledge/understanding of web applications & database server infrastructure. This candidate will be the client's Platform Administrator Server Support. They will be part of the client's Application Maintenance and Support Team. This team will be responsible for routine maintenance and support, Incident Management, and Change Management for the client's Application Portfolio.
This team member is a highly technical individual in charge of maintaining the client's application & database server infrastructure, ensuring that a server is secure, developing backup procedures, maintaining system integrity, and optimizing server performance. This team member will be the subject matter expert for the client's application & database infrastructure. This individual will be managing the application deployment process. They will also be leading to migrating the application development teams to modernize to CI/CD process. This team member will produce service failure resolutions, emergency releases for application outages, root cause analysis, after-action reporting, troubleshooting, reporting service, data extracts and data corrections, technology upgrades, change releases, design, coding, component, and assembly testing of application code.
The candidate will be responsible for:
- Maintain the health of web servers hosting client applications.
- Ensure the continued availability, functionality, improvement, and longevity of client applications.
- Maintain the health of existing database servers and client databases hosted on these servers.
- Use and enforce Microsoft best practices in the maintenance and design of DBs.
- Work daily with the development team on improvements and support of client applications and their business user's satisfaction.
- Manage application knowledge base to ensure continuity via documentation, collaboration with the team, and sharing knowledge.
- Do planning for risk factors and disaster recovery for all servers hosting client applications and databases.
- Responsible for daily operational needs
- Follow, support, and implement the Division's strategy and vision for the client's IT application portfolio.
