Job Description :

We are seeking a Sr. Resource Manager/Product Owner to join our client, a leading organization in the Food & Beverage (F&B) sector, based in Washington, DC. This role is pivotal in driving technology delivery, overseeing daily operations, resource planning, and procurement of equipment. The Sr. Resource Manager will serve both internal and external customers, ensuring the seamless execution of multiple projects and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead multiple projects, sometimes acting as the project leader, managing matrixed resources to ensure timely delivery and support.
  • Resource Engagement: Efficiently engage appropriate resources for maintenance and support activities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with clients, business analysts, and team members to comprehend business requirements, facilitating the design and implementation of quality technical solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency: Maintain a solid understanding of development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Adaptability: Adjust to constant business changes to provide consistent support and consultation.
  • Client Support: Offer subject matter expertise in system development, maintenance, and support to clients.
  • Project Planning: Develop and maintain project plans, and roadmap/release plans across the F&B ecosystem.
  • Budget Management: Create detailed budget forecasts and accruals, maintaining a monthly variance of 5% or lower.
  • Demand Management: Balance the current and future demands of the business by collaborating with IT functions to prioritize projects and allocate resources effectively.
  • Capital Planning: Assist in planning and managing the fiscal year Capital Call and its resource implications.
  • Status Reporting: Develop and deliver monthly status reports across the portfolio for leadership and PMO organization.
  • SAFe Transformation: Act as a change agent, aiding teams in transitioning to SAFe (Scaled Agile) from traditional waterfall delivery.
  • Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the bridge between delivery teams, digital product management teams, SAFe transformation teams, and business stakeholders.
  • Executive Communication: Develop content and strategies for executive presentations, driving sessions, and gaining alignment.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify and mitigate risks impacting timelines, quality, cyber risk, and other deliverability factors.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum of five to eight years of Program and Project Management experience, with at least five years of technology-based delivery experience.
  • Certification: SAFe 6 Certified Product Owner.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in a Supply Chain setup, including sourcing/procurement, stocking, inventory management, and receiving.
  • Portfolio Management: Hands-on experience in Portfolio Management, including analysis, planning, creation, monitoring, strategy, governance, and execution.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Project Server (EPM) 2007/2010, MS Project Professional 2007/2010, and the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Education:

  • Degrees: Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Portfolio Management, Program/Project Management, or Business Administration.
  • Certifications: Project Management certification (PMI, Graduate School Certification, or equivalent).
