Job Title :  .NET Core Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled .NET Core Developer to upgrade and redesign the Enhanced Information System (EIS) application. This system supports the Bureau of Building, Grounds, and Real Property Management and the State Property Insurance offices by managing and tracking state-owned assets, including buildings, furniture, vehicles, and other related items.

As a contractor, you will be responsible for upgrading the existing .NET Framework application to the latest .NET Core version, enhancing both its functionality and database design. The front-end of the application will also be modernized to improve user experience and interface. Access to the application is both internal to the agency and external for other state agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Application Upgrade & Redesign:
  • Upgrade the existing application from .NET Framework 4.0.0 (ASP.NET – VB.NET) to the latest version of .NET Core.
  • Implement enhancements to the database and overall application functionality.
  • Modernize the web front-end to improve the user interface and experience.
  • Ensure compatibility and seamless integration with internal and external access for agency and state-level users.
• Technology & Environment:
  • Work within an environment consisting of IIS 10.0.14393.0 on Windows Server 2016.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure application stability, performance, and security.
  • Utilize best practices for code development, version control, and documentation.

Required Skills & Experience:

Candidates must possess the following skills and experience to qualify for consideration:

• Advanced proficiency in .NET and .NET Core
  • Extensive experience with .NET Framework and .NET Core programming.
• Database Skills:
  • Advanced knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and SQL databases.
• Web and Server Configuration:
  • Proficiency in IIS configuration.
  • Experience working with Windows Server versions 2016 and 2025.
• Geocoding:
  • Familiarity with geocoding techniques and implementations.
• Experience with Visual Basic and Visual Studio:
  • Expertise in Visual Studio and Visual Basic programming, particularly in legacy systems.

Preferred Skills (Not Required, but Beneficial):

• Experience with EIS (Enhanced Information System)
  • Familiarity with the Enhanced Information System is beneficial, but not required.
