Job Title : L2 Operations Support Specialist – Payments

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Level 2 Operations Support Specialist to join our Enterprise Payments team. This individual will be responsible for providing advanced technical support for mission-critical payment platforms, with a strong focus on Fiserv’s Enterprise Payments Platform (EPP) / Dovetail, and integrating systems such as SWIFT, MTS, and ACH.

The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with a strong technical foundation in DevOps tools, Node.js, and Mainframe systems, capable of supporting both modern and legacy infrastructure. This role plays a key part in maintaining the integrity, performance, and availability of our payment processing systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 support for the Fiserv Enterprise Payments Platform (EPP)/Dovetail and related payment systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex issues related to payment transactions, message routing, and system integrations (e.g., SWIFT, MTS, ACH).
  • Monitor application performance using Datadog, proactively identifying and addressing anomalies and system health concerns.
  • Manage and maintain containerized environments via OpenShift and Docker.
  • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, ensuring efficient and reliable deployment processes.
  • Develop and maintain microservices and scripts using Node.js to support integrations and custom solutions within the payments ecosystem.
  • Leverage Mainframe expertise to support legacy systems and facilitate seamless integration with modern platforms.
  • Utilize Glassbox analytics to monitor user interactions and provide actionable insights for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement long-term solutions to prevent recurrence of critical incidents.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve escalated issues and maintain high system availability.
  • Participate in regular system maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and configuration changes.
  • Document processes, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge articles to support knowledge transfer and operational consistency.
  • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation, ensuring rapid response and resolution for high-priority incidents.
  • Ensure all activities adhere to relevant regulatory standards (e.g., ISO20022, SEPA, PCI-DSS) and internal security policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a support or operations role within the payments industry.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Fiserv EPP / Dovetail Payments.
  • Proficiency in payment protocols including SWIFT, MTS, and ACH.
  • Working knowledge of Datadog for monitoring and diagnostics.
  • Practical experience with OpenShift and Docker in production environments.
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, especially using Jenkins.
  • Proficiency in Node.js for service development and scripting.
  • Experience supporting Mainframe systems in a hybrid architecture environment.
  • Familiarity with Glassbox or similar customer journey analytics tools.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on incident resolution and prevention.
  • Solid understanding of Linux/Unix, shell scripting, and database querying.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to additional payment protocols and systems.
  • Experience with automation tools to streamline support operations.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes related to incident, change, and problem management.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
