The team is wrapping up a remaining piece of work for the IDOS contract.
Manual and Automated testing is good to have.
Role is heavily focused on DB testing. DB knowledge is primary (hands on exp.) (Oracle, etc.)
Extensive back end testing. SQL testing.
Knowledge about back end validation, and someone should have a strong understanding of the fundamentals about SQL, and DB and how they do what they do and why (querying a table, why, and what the expected outcomes are for that table.)
SOAP API testing would be another nice to have that could set someone apart.
General Comments
We are looking for a savvy Mid-Level backend Quality Assurance Engineer/Tester with excellent Data Analysis experience. The hired tester will support the testing requirements of applications working as member of a cross functional Agile team. The tester will work directly with the BA and Development teams to test the product and to gain consistency and efficiencies during the software development and testing process. The candidate should have experience in Quality Assurance processes of complex applications and must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems, and products.

The ideal candidate should have of 4 to 6 years in the skill set listed below:
- Extensive backend (Oracle or other databases) testing and Data Analysis experience
- SQL experience and hands-on ability to apply SQL queries
- Demonstrate consultative approach to work with business analysts and engineering teams to solve problems
- Participate as core member of Agile team across all planning, analysis, design, development, and testing activities including participation in all scrum ceremonies
- Proficient developing test cases for complex domain models such as workflows, data migration and web-based applications
- Experience in developing manual QA test suites
- Perform detailed test designs using sound software test engineering principals
- Develop efficient and effective qualitative methods, measures, and guidelines to continuously improve quality processes and practices
- Experience supporting user acceptance testing efforts by user training and developing test artifacts
- Experience/Knowledge of Selenium automation framework and experience in running automation test suites
- Prior coding experience is preferable (Java, Python, JavaScript, VBA, Groovy, etc.)
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of agile software development and ability to work in agile team environment
