P {margin-top:0;margin-bottom:0;} Title : Senior DevOps Engineer Visa : H4 EAD , GC ,GC EAD Position : C2C and 1099 Terms of Employment Contract, 9 months (Likely Extension / Possible Conversation) Location : DMV(District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia), Overview The Senior DevOps Engineer will be a key member of the Configuration Services & Deployment Management Team, embedded within the application development delivery teams for specific lines of business. This role supports and advises development teams on DevOps toolsets and helps deploy applications across various environments, including system integration testing, user acceptance testing, and production. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the delivery teams in application deployment and release management. Assisting with the configuration, setup, and operation of DevOps tools such as Bitbucket, Jenkins, SonarQube, and Artifactory. Writing and maintaining YAML configurations for Jenkins applications. Deploying code through CI/CD pipelines and troubleshooting related issues. Engaging in after-hours work for deployment and release support, including minor releases on a monthly basis and major releases on a quarterly basis. Automating operational processes using Python scripting and Ansible playbooks. Ensuring code quality through the use of tools like SonarQube and managing code repositories in Bitbucket. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and efficient application development and deployment processes. Required Skills & Experience DevOps Engineering experience with a background in Java development and frameworks. Proficiency in Python scripting for automation. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation. Strong experience with Jenkins, including creating, managing, and troubleshooting Jenkins pipelines. Proficiency in using Bitbucket, including managing multiple repositories, branches, and tagging/merging operations. Experience with Ansible, Puppet, or Chef for configuration management. Familiarity with additional CI/CD tools such as Bamboo, ArgoCD, or GitLab. Strong understanding of general Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and application development. Experience developing and coding YAML files for configuration. Knowledge of code quality tools like SonarQube. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong problem-solving skills and a self-starting, curious nature. Preferred Skills & Experience Experience with Sterling B2B Integrator software product. Advanced skills in configuration YAMLs and pipeline-as-code. Experience working with Linux and AIX environments. Experience with cloud-native infrastructure and services. Strong knowledge of Artifactory for artifact management. Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and tools. Experience developing and implementing Ansible playbooks for automating operational processes.
