Role: Senior Endpoint Security Engineer
Visa : USC, GC , GC EAD, H4 , L2
Location: Chicago, IL, United States
6+ MONTHS CONTRACT
This is hybrid from day-1 ( Candidates must reside near Chicago, Illinois )
What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.
5-7+ years of proven experience as an Endpoint Security Engineer or similar role.
In-depth knowledge of Windows operating systems, security protocols, and endpoint management tools.
Expertise in configuring and managing security solutions such as Windows Defender for Endpoint, AppLocker, and WDAC.
Experience with Access Panda asset and inventory tracking solution is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to endpoint security.
Ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
Demonstrates excellent communication and collaboration skills while working with cross-functional teams.
Detail oriented with ability to self-manage and prioritize tasks effectively.
What You'll do. (Skills Used in this Position)
Endpoint Security Configuration
Remove common local Admin passwords across Win10/Win11 devices to enhance security.
Configure and manage Windows Defender for Endpoint to safeguard against evolving threats.
Security Control Implementation
Implement and optimize security controls such as Windows Defender Application Control (WDAC) and AppLocker for enhanced endpoint protection.
Asset Management Overhaul
Lead a comprehensive overhaul of asset management processes and the asset database.
Utilize Access Panda asset and inventory tracking solution for efficient tracking and management.
Endpoint Privilege Management
Remove local admin access for end users to mitigate security risks.
Work towards implementing an endpoint privileged management solution for secure access.
Software Lifecycle Management
Address end-of-life software through strategic planning for timely upgrades and replacements.
