About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team in Mobile, AL. This is a long-term onsite contract opportunity with a focus on managing, optimizing, and supporting SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to database performance and reliability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases (versions 2008, 2012, 2014)
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues including performance, connectivity, and data integrity
- Perform database tuning and optimization (PTO) using native SQL Server tools
- Develop, manage, and deploy SSIS packages and SSRS reports
- Ensure high availability and disaster recovery solutions are in place
- Collaborate with application development and infrastructure teams to support business requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA
- Proven expertise in:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012/2014
- Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
- Troubleshooting complex database issues
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
- Strong knowledge of database security, backup/recovery, and maintenance
- Professional working proficiency in English
