Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Cloud Architect for an onsite contract role in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, ensuring security, scalability, and performance best practices.Required Skills & Experience: 5+ years in Azure Cloud Platform.Must have at least 1-2 Years of experience as a Cloud Architect.Strong expertise in Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).Proficiency in Azure Virtual Machines, Networking (VNETs, ExpressRoute, VPNs), and Load Balancing.Experience with Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS), Azure Functions, and Logic Apps.Knowledge of security best practices in Azure, including firewalls, encryption, and IAM.Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases on Azure (Azure SQL, CosmosDB, etc.).Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.Experience with monitoring tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Preferred Qualifications:Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) certification is a plus.Experience with multi-cloud environments (AWS/GCP) is a plus.Prior experience working in a regulated industry (finance, healthcare, etc.).Key Responsibilities:Design and implement Azure cloud architecture solutions based on business and technical requirements.Develop and execute cloud migration strategies for on-premises to Azure.Provide technical leadership and guidance on Azure best practices, governance, and compliance.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps, and security engineers, to build scalable cloud solutions.Optimize Azure resources for cost-efficiency and performance.Implement security controls, policies, and identity management using Azure Security Center, Azure AD, and RBAC.Automate infrastructure deployment using ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.Troubleshoot Azure-related issues and ensure high availability of cloud services.Stay up to date with Azure trends and new features to continuously improve cloud architectures.
