Position: Data Analyst with P&C insurance
Location: Boston, MA
Must have:
Strong Data Analyst, with Property and Casualty Insurance Background.
Strong SQL, great communication skills, testing skills, and preferably DBT Skills.
Looking for someone to bridge the gap between ETL and Analysis that would be content either way but be self-sufficient quickly.
The Senior Data Analyst position will be responsible for the management, design, testing and implementation of Data Warehouse projects for Policy, Claims, Quotes, Billing, Agency, ancillary components and Data Mart insurance application data.
Primary duties will include requirements review, estimating, analysis, data modeling, development of technical specification documents, development team support and guidance, significant quality assurance, implementation tracking, downstream application support and monitoring of data in production databases.
This role also requires the ability to internally manage the project from Analysis through Post-Implementation phases. One key initiative that will be in the near future for this role is participation of migrating and modernizing the current day Data Warehouse; migrating it to AWS within Snowflake/RedShift, so knowledge and experience in this area is desired
Skills/Knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience), with 7+ years of software development experience (ideally SQL)
7+ years of Data Analyst Experience
Experience in relational databases
Experience in data mapping and transformations
Experience using a software development life cycle (SDLC) methodology, including project planning and estimating. Experience with Jira.
Experience with AWS components in the cloud (ie. S3, Sagemaker, Python, etc)
Experience with Snowflake/RedShirt Data platform(s)
Experience AIX/DB2 & Windows/Sql Server
Experience with Effective oral & written communication skills – must have the ability to be heard
Strong data modeling skills

Project Management skills
Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated
Attention to detail and quality
Must be a team player and contribute to the overall synergy in the team
