Job Summary: As a Data Modeler, you will play a pivotal role in collaborating with business process teams across various domains including CRM, ERP, HR, and Risk Management to design and implement robust data models. As part of a project team, you will also interact with teams in multiple countries and technologies such as Salesforce, S4HANA, SuccessFactors, and Microsoft to establish and maintain a global data glossary, global data dictionary, and global data model at both conceptual and logical levels. Your work will be crucial in ensuring data consistency, accuracy, and governance across the organization.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
Years of Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data modeling
Experience working with CRM, ERP, HR, and Risk Management systems is highly desirable.
Type of Experience:
Extensive experience in designing, developing, and maintaining conceptual and logical data models.
Strong understanding of data governance and data quality principles.
Proficient in data modeling tools and techniques.
Experience with Salesforce, S4HANA, SuccessFactors, and Microsoft technologies is a must have.
Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams and managing relationships with stakeholders across different geographical locations.
Principal Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business process teams in CRM, ERP, HR, and Risk Management to gather and analyze data requirements.
Develop, update, and maintain global data models at both conceptual and logical levels.
Create and manage a global data glossary and data dictionary to ensure a consistent understanding of data across the organization.
Work with international teams and leverage technologies including Salesforce, S4HANA, SuccessFactors, and Microsoft to integrate data models across various platforms.
Ensure data models adhere to organizational standards and best practices in data governance and data quality.
Facilitate discussions and workshops with business stakeholders to align on data definitions and requirements.
Support data integration efforts and ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems.
Provide expertise and guidance to data stewards, data architects, and other stakeholders involved in data management initiatives.
Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in data modeling.
Qualifications:
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Proficiency in data modeling tools such as ER/Studio, ERwin, or similar.
Experience with data governance tools and platforms.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
Willingness to collaborate with international teams and accommodate different time zones when necessary.
Professional certifications related to data management, data modeling, or specific technologies (e.g., Salesforce, S4HANA) are a plus.
