Logistics Specialist Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday - Friday) Pay: $22/hour Location : Round Rock, TX Overview: This role involves managing inventory and coordinating logistics in a chemical manufacturing environment. The department oversees the storage, release, and distribution of materials, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and International laws. Key Responsibilities: Maintain inventory accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and prevent future inconsistencies. Receive materials: match packing slips with purchase orders, inspect items, label/tag materials, store appropriately, and complete paperwork. Manage inventory records, issue consumables, handle stock returns (RMA), and ensure timely material delivery. Oversee shipment activities in compliance with DOT and IATA regulations. Ensure sufficient stock of work area supplies to avoid disruptions. Collaborate with customer service and operations to handle special shipping requirements. Perform cycle counting, record transactions in inventory management software, and support material movement within the plant. Identify process improvement opportunities focused on quality, safety, and efficiency. Cross-train in departmental tasks to support other teams. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to cGMP standards and company policies. Requirements: Education: High School Diploma (or equivalent). Experience: Preferred experience in chemical handling, material management, or related environments. Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk for 75% of the day, and bend to retrieve items. Skills: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. High accuracy and attention to detail. Team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated and capable of handling a fast-paced environment. Preferred Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements for material storage and shipment. Experience with inventory management software and barcode systems.
