Description: The Cisco Wireless Engineer designs, analyzes, plans and modifies network components supporting customer communication implementation activities. The Cisco Wireless Engineer work assignments are often straightforward and of moderate complexity.
The Cisco Wireless Engineer develops and evaluates network performance criteria and measurement methods. Prepares the analysis of the short-term or long-term capacity needs for switching, routing transmission and signaling. Conducts network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies. Develops alternative routing scenarios and changes in required sequence of network activities. Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections. Understands own work area professional concepts/standards, regulations, strategies and operating standards. Makes decisions regarding own work approach/priorities, and follows direction. Work is managed and often guided by precedent and/or documented procedures/regulations/professional standards with some interpretation.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
3-5 years of technical experience
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
SSCP or CISSP Certification
