Position: PC Lab Technician
Type: Full-time, permanent
Location: Gloucester, MA This role requires working onsite
What You'll Be Doing:
Collaborating with GIS (Global Information Security): You'll follow security guidelines they set and make sure those are applied in how the lab runs.
Working with Other Teams (like Engineering or Operations): You'll gather their requirements and help make sure the lab supports what they need.
Maintaining the Lab: Keeping all the computer equipment and software in good working condition.
Tech Support: Helping users when they face technical issues and guiding them through solutions.
System Setup: Installing and configuring new computers in the lab.
Monitoring Systems: Keeping an eye on system performance to spot any potential problems early.
Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and fixing hardware or software issues as they arise.
Software Management: Installing updates and making sure all software is current and secure.
Enforcing Lab Rules: Making sure users follow all the rules to maintain safety, security, and order.
Routine Checks: Performing regular inspections and performance tests to ensure smooth operations.
User Training: Helping train users on how to use lab systems or follow lab procedures.
Documentation: Keeping records of system setups, incidents, maintenance, and lab activities.
