Pay Range: $140k - $160k/Annum. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, architect, and implement end-to-end data engineering solutions on the AWS platform.
- Develop scalable and efficient data pipelines to ingest, process, and analyze large volumes of data from various sources.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers to understand data requirements and design appropriate solutions.
- Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance in alignment with industry standards and regulations.
- Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval mechanisms for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks using AWS services such as AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, Amazon EMR, etc.
- Conduct performance tuning and optimization of data processing workflows to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS technologies and trends in data engineering and analytics.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- Key Skills; Big data, AWS services and Data engineering
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Data Engineer, Data Architect, or similar role with a focus on AWS technologies.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS services such as S3, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Athena, Kinesis, etc.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
- Hands-on experience with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop, etc.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases for data storage and retrieval.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
