Azure Cloud Native Platform Leader
The Azure Cloud Native Platform Leader will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of scalable, high-performance cloud-native platforms using Microsoft Azure. This role requires expertise in cloud-native platform and application architecture, with a strong background in leading large-scale deployments on Azure.
Responsibilities

  • Cloud Architecture and Development: Lead the design and development of cloud-native platforms on Microsoft Azure, ensuring scalability and high performance. This includes expertise in microservices architecture, Azure SQL, MongoDB, and Azure Service Bus.
  • Deployment and Operations: Oversee multiple product deployments on Azure, ensuring seamless integration and operation. Experience with large-scale web applications serving over 5 million users daily is essential.
  • Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic direction and technical leadership to engineering teams, aligning cloud strategies with business objectives. This includes setting architectural standards and guiding teams in adopting best practices for cloud-native applications.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Foster strong relationships with stakeholders through excellent communication skills. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of cloud initiatives.
  • Innovation and Expertise: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that leverage Azure's capabilities.

Requirements

  • Technical Expertise: Expert-level knowledge of Microsoft Azure, including Azure SQL, MongoDB, Azure Service Bus, and microservices architecture. Experience with large-scale web applications is crucial.
  • Leadership Experience: CTO or Head of Engineering level experience, with a proven track record of leading large-scale cloud deployments and managing technical teams.
  • Expertise Level: Equivalent to Distinguished Engineer, Google Fellow, or Google Senior Fellow, demonstrating exceptional technical leadership and innovation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Cloud Certifications: Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly valued.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in highly regulated industries or environments with stringent security and compliance requirements is advantageous.
  • Innovation and Thought Leadership: A history of contributing to technical communities, publishing articles, or speaking at conferences on cloud technology and innovation is desirable.
