Role: Principal Engineer - Microsoft Power Platform
Location: Hybrid in Dallas, TX or Phoenix, AZ
 
 
The client is seeking a principal engineer who will be the engineering lead for Microsoft Power Platform services, including PowerApps, Power Automate, PowerBI and Power Pages and more. You will act as a subject matter expert and consult with technology, line of business customers, and developers on how to leverage the Power Platform to create business value and improve efficiency. You will support both citizen developers and professional developers in building low-code and no-code applications, workflows, dashboards and web pages. You will own the engineering planning and continue to stay current on this evolving technology. You will focus on governance and controls, ensuring that the Power Platform solutions are secure, compliant and aligned with banking standards and regulations.
 
In This Role, You Will
  • Lead the engineering of Microsoft Power Platform solutions for various business domains and use cases.
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices to customers and developers on how to design, develop, test and deploy Power Platform solutions.
  • Review and evaluate the Power Platform solutions for quality, performance, security and compliance.
  • Establish and enforce governance and controls for the Power Platform environment, including policies, roles, permissions, approvals, backups and audits.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the Power Platform solutions and resolve any issues or incidents.
  • Stay updated on the latest features and trends of the Power Platform and recommend improvements and enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • At least 7 years of experience in software engineering, with at least 5 years of experience in Microsoft Power Platform services.
  • Expert knowledge of PowerApps, Power Automate, PowerBI and Power Pages, and their integration with other Microsoft services and platforms.
  • Strong skills in low-code and no-code development, as well as coding languages such as C#, JavaScript, SQL and PowerShell.
  • Experience in leading and managing engineering teams and projects.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of banking industry and regulations, and their implications for Power Platform solutions.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related field.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with large organizations supporting Microsoft 365 services
  • Familiar with banking regulations and compliance regulations
