Job Description
Our Financial Engineering team is using Salesforce to create a relationship map of technology vendors and service providers and our engineering employees.
Role Overview:
As a Salesforce Consultant, you will be responsible for setting up and configuring the initial Salesforce instance for our Financial Engineering. You will work closely with the engineering team to capture and organize critical vendor-related information, automate data entry processes, and enable seamless integration with Tableau for data visualization.
Responsibilities:
Configuration and Customization:
- Set up initial instance of Salesforce that helps our Financial Engineering to capture vendor information, contact details, product evaluations, demo notes& recording, and commercial agreements.
- Design and implement a data model that effectively organizes vendor, product, and product grouping intersections.
- Customize Salesforce fields to ensure a limited and relevant amount of data entry.
Automation:
- Implement automation tools and processes to automatically capture and save vendor-related data from forwarded emails.
- Integrate Salesforce with Outlook for seamless communication and data synchronization.
Reporting and Data Export:
- Develop basic flat file reports to export raw data from Salesforce.
- Collaborate with our Tableau team to identify and implement the best integration methods for visualizing Salesforce data in Tableau.
Branding and Interface Design:
- Brand the Salesforce instance to align with our logo and color scheme.
- Design an intuitive and user-friendly interface for data entry and access.
Documentation and Training:
- Create clear and comprehensive instructions for our Financial engineering staff to modify and manage Salesforce after the engagement.
- Provide training sessions to ensure the team is comfortable using and navigating the Salesforce instance.
