About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Server Database Administrator (DBA) to lead the implementation of Transparent Data Encryption (TDE) across all non-Cardinal systems. The successful candidate will ensure data-at-rest encryption is fully deployed in accordance with enterprise security policies and audit requirements, while maintaining system performance and availability.
Please Note: Parking is not provided for contractors at the downtown location.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement TDE across all non-Cardinal SQL Server databases to ensure encryption at rest.
- Configure and manage TDE settings, encryption keys, and certificates in alignment with organizational security policies.
- Maintain system uptime and performance during TDE implementation.
- Optimize database performance through tuning, monitoring, and best practice configurations.
- Enforce security measures including access controls, user authentication, and auditing.
- Investigate and remediate audit findings related to database security and operations.
- Support backup and recovery strategies and ensure data integrity.
- Maintain and update documentation to support compliance with audit and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and application teams as needed.
