Job Title : .NET IT Programmer

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Programmer to support application development and maintenance initiatives for our end client in the IT sector. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in C#, .NET framework, and MySQL, with a proven ability to optimize, troubleshoot, and document enterprise-level software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Code Analysis and Review
- Review and analyze existing code to identify inefficiencies, technical debt, and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure code quality by evaluating readability, maintainability, and performance.
2. Debugging and Troubleshooting
- Diagnose and resolve software bugs and application issues.
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand problem areas and develop appropriate solutions.
3. Code Optimization
- Enhance code to improve performance, scalability, and resource efficiency.
- Implement best practices to streamline application functionality.
4. Documentation
- Maintain clear and concise technical documentation for code changes, architecture decisions, and recommendations.
- Prepare and update documentation as needed to support future development and maintenance efforts.
5. Development and Implementation
- Develop and modify application code to meet system specifications and organizational requirements.
- Deploy code to testing environments and validate functionality.
- Ensure compliance with OSCNP guidelines and internal coding standards.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining applications using C# and the .NET framework.
- Strong experience with MySQL, including writing and optimizing complex SQL queries, integrating databases with applications, and developing stored procedures/functions.
- Solid understanding of ASP.NET and its integration with MySQL databases.
- Experience in data mapping and transformation processes.
- Familiarity with development tools and platforms such as Jira, Visual Studio, and Git.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) certification is highly preferred.
