They will be splitting time between these projects. Some support would be much appreciated. Technology Services is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join its team As a Senior Business Analyst, you'll function as a liaison between business users, functional subject matter experts, systems analysts, and technical developers. Typical responsibilities include working with the business to analyze processes (assessing current state and future state process flows), documenting process diagrams, requirements elicitation and documentation, performing system fit/gap analysis, providing input for design specifications, developing and overseeing request for proposals where technology is involved and participation in systems testing. By doing so, you'll be a crucial member in achieving our goal of always exceeding customer expectations. Current Project needs specific to this role: Senior level BA with experience in eliciting requirements for an RFP and creating the bid package documentation. (Current project will be for a Case Management System) In addition, a BA is needed for an implementation of a new Consolidated Utilities Billing system. Time will be split 50/50 ABOUT OUR JOB The Senior BA will Act as principal liaison for business stakeholders and as a key point-of-contact to Technology Services, internal/external agencies, and vendors on their behalf Partner with business stakeholders to identify problems/opportunities, assist in developing these into project/initiatives, and work within Technology Services to move these into the project pipeline. Prioritize and complete project backlog requests Lead and organize UAT coordination with the end user team Understand business processes and system capabilities for complex, integrated systems Work with vendors to understand system intricacies and process needs to advocate for the best possible solution Facilitate team understanding and elicit requirements for systems, integrations, and future state functionality Utilize Azure Dev Ops (ADO) for all project tracking purposes Create functional process fit/gap analysis documentation which identifies and recommends resolution of any process, system, and integration related gaps Make suggestions for any as-is or to-be processes which are lacking and/or present a risk and help mitigate them, before they become an issue May work with the QA team to support system testing May provide go-live support and immediate post-production support activities as needed Follow TS best practices: documentation, project, and change management processes Collaborate with business stakeholders, Technology Services teams, internal/external agencies, vendors, et. al to support the city of Denver's mission, vision, and goals. ABOUT YOU Minimum 3 years of current, professional level experience in Business Analysis which should include at least two years of experience performing lead-level work for multi-sized projects, including: Experience gathering requirements for, authoring, and coordinating responses with RFP documentation, as well as ensuring SOW documentation is completed accurately Managing process analysis and improvement activities which impact multiple teams/departments Identifying, recommending, and delivering recommendations which improve enterprise-wide systems Performing technical process evaluation, analysis, along with recommending fixes for complex and highly integrated technology software system environments Creating process and system diagrams for current and future system and process documentation Delivering documentation converted for training or making course materials for end users Creating process handoff and system integration diagrams for all related systems Excellent team collaboration, delivering results with peers, customers, and vendors Help technical and non-technical team members understand how/why process handoffs impact requirements, systems, and integrations between systems Additional skills required to be successful in the role: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Self-organization / self-starting Customer experience focused Effective in facilitating customer engagements Problem analysis / root cause analysis Effective in preparing for and delivering presentations (varying material) Skilled in consensus building and conflict management Ability to effectively negotiate License/Certifications: Must obtain Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) clearance within 45 days of start date Preferred Experience: Experience across a broad spectrum of Technology solutions ITIL/ITSM Agile/Scrum (ScrumMaster and or Product Owner experience preferred) Business Process Management (BPM) Lean Six Sigma / Lean process development Request for Proposal (RFP) process participation / coordination Statement of Work (SOW) development, review and execution Vendor Management Change Management Business case development and delivery Business Intelligence (PowerBI or the like) Microsoft Office including Visio, Azure DevOps Required Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics or a related field. Education/Experience Equivalency: Additional appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for the minimum education requirement on a one year for one year basis.
