About the Role

The client is is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to join our team. This role requires advanced expertise in developing AWS-based applications using React and NodeJS. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating innovative solutions to enhance decision-making and operational processes within the agency. This position involves working with cloud-based microservices, APIs, and building scalable solutions in alignment with the agency’s architectural roadmap and enterprise objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaboration & Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that align with DBHDS’s enterprise architecture.
• Application & Data Service Development: Design, develop, and deploy scalable, resilient cloud-based services and micro front-end applications using AWS technologies.
• Data Management: Develop and maintain data lakes, Change Data Capture (CDC) services, and integrate cloud-native data services like AWS Glue, Athena, and Snowflake.
• Documentation & Support: Create comprehensive documentation detailing the design, testing, and deployment processes to ensure clarity and continuity for all teams involved.
• CI/CD Pipeline Maintenance: Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient code deployment and automated testing.
• Quality Assurance & Compliance: Ensure that all solutions meet security and quality standards, including adherence to best practices for secure coding and compliance with DBHDS policies.
• Infrastructure Management: Leverage tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform for infrastructure management, ensuring consistency across environments and minimizing configuration drift.
• Operational Stability: Implement monitoring, logging, and system stress tests to ensure operational stability and resilience of deployed solutions.
• Cross-functional Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that solutions are aligned with business needs and maintain high performance and availability.

Qualifications

• AWS Full Stack Development: Proven experience developing, implementing, and maintaining full-stack applications on AWS, leveraging technologies like NodeJS, React, and Python.
• Data Engineering Expertise: Strong experience with AWS Glue, Athena, RDS, and Snowflake integrations, as well as expertise in ETL and ELT processes.
• API Development: Extensive experience designing, developing, and maintaining APIs tailored for cloud environments, including AWS API Gateway.
• Cloud Networking & Security: In-depth understanding of cloud networking concepts (VPCs, subnets, security groups) and cloud security best practices, including IAM (Identity and Access Management).
• Serverless Computing: Experience with serverless computing concepts, event-driven architecture, and platforms like AWS Lambda.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficient in automating infrastructure provisioning using tools like AWS CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Scripting & Automation: Strong skills in scripting and task automation with languages such as NodeJS and Python.
• DevOps Practices: Knowledgeable in DevOps practices, including optimizing CI/CD pipelines, version control (GitHub), and collaboration tools like AWS CodePipeline.
• Monitoring & Logging: Experience setting up monitoring tools, alerts, dashboards, and logs for cloud infrastructure and applications.
• End-User Support & Training: Ability to provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of cloud-based solutions.
• Business Process Automation: Experience in identifying opportunities for automating business processes and simplifying workflows.
• Collaboration & Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with product and business teams.
• Compliance: Adherence to all agency policies and procedures to maintain regulatory compliance.
