Job Title : Web and Windows Application Developer (Cloud Services)

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated developer to join our team, where you will collaborate with both our established contractors and internal staff to focus on a variety of web and Windows applications. These applications are utilized by both internal ELECT staff and external constituents of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
As a developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining applications, with a particular emphasis on Cloud Services. The ideal candidate will have expertise in programming, design, and implementation of cloud-based applications, as well as experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) and cloud solutions from major providers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Application Architects, and the Application Development team to ensure alignment with customer requirements and technical specifications.
- Analyze, design, and code new applications, focusing on robust, scalable solutions.
- Participate in ongoing maintenance and enhancement of existing applications.
- Develop and implement Cloud Service-based solutions in accordance with modern design practices and industry standards.
- Work closely with SaaS and Cloud Service providers when necessary to integrate external services into the application ecosystem.
- Ensure code quality, security, and performance through best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in C#, .NET Framework & Core, MVC, WebForms, and Web Services.
- Strong experience with SQL, Git SCM, and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, and Agile development practices.
- In-depth understanding of application security best practices.
- Knowledge of Cloud Services and integration with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with mobile-first and responsive design practices.
- Experience working with major Cloud Service Providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Additional Information:
