Job Title : Senior Web and Cloud Application Developer

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Web and Cloud Application Developer to join our team. This role involves collaborating with both established contractors and internal staff to develop, maintain, and enhance web and Windows applications used by ELECT personnel and constituents across the Commonwealth of Virginia.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in programming, application design, and Cloud Services, particularly with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). You will be responsible for the full application development lifecycle, from analysis and design to coding and deployment. In addition, you will play a key leadership role, guiding other team members and managing complex technical projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement web and Windows applications tailored to the needs of internal ELECT staff and Virginia constituents.
- Take ownership of new application development projects, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
- Lead and mentor team members, providing technical guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Application Architects, and other Application Development Team members to align designs and code with customer requirements.
- Conduct ongoing maintenance, enhancements, and optimization of existing applications.
- Work closely with Cloud Service Providers and SaaS vendors to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
- Ensure applications adhere to industry best practices, including security, performance, and scalability standards.
Technical Skills & Qualifications:
- Expertise in C#, .NET Framework & Core, MVC, WebForms, and Web Services.
- Proficiency with SQL, Git SCM, and JavaScript.
- Strong understanding of Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, etc.), including experience working with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA).
- Experience with Jira, Azure DevOps, and Application Security.
- Familiarity with mobile and responsive design methodologies is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage highly complex work efforts with minimal supervision.
Desired Qualifications:
- Extensive industry experience in software development and application design.
- Advanced education or relevant certifications are highly desirable.
