Job Title : Senior Security Operations Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Security Operations Engineer to join our Information Security team. This individual will play a critical role in strengthening our cybersecurity posture by supporting vulnerability management, incident response, penetration testing, identity and access management, and secure software development practices. This is a mid-to-senior level role and not suitable for entry-level candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Security Engineering & Analysis
  • Evaluate the security impact of infrastructure, application, and configuration changes throughout the change management lifecycle.
  • Conduct security assessments on applications, servers, and network devices for compliance with established security standards.
  • Analyze and document the impact of new system implementations and integrations on existing security controls.
  • Assess and report on the risks associated with newly identified vulnerabilities in the environment.
• Security Operations
  • Coordinate with system owners, IT staff, and vendors to remediate application and infrastructure vulnerabilities.
  • Track and report on vulnerability resolution progress to management.
  • Address endpoint security issues and provide timely updates on remediation efforts.
  • Lead and respond to security incidents and conduct thorough post-incident analyses.
• Penetration Testing & Audits
  • Perform internal application penetration tests; document and present findings with actionable recommendations.
  • Conduct annual password audits and manage organization-wide access control reviews in compliance with policy.
• Secure Development Practices
  • Integrate security best practices into the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) through Secure by Design and DevSecOps methodologies.
  • Determine security control needs for systems and networks and document findings accordingly.
• Documentation & Process Improvement
  • Develop and maintain desk procedures and process documentation.
  • Automate recurring security tasks using scripting tools where appropriate.

We are specifically looking for candidates with strong technical depth in the following areas:

• Vulnerability Management
• Application Penetration Testing
• Incident Response
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Descopes & Automation

Candidates with a background primarily in Risk Management, IT Auditing, or general IT Operations will not be a good fit for this position. Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder engagement experience are essential.
